The Best Places to Retire in 2018

I always like reading these types of articles because there’s always something you can agree on, and always something debatable.  Recently I came across an interesting list of best places to retire, that I mostly agree with. I use “mostly” as a modifier because there are so many great places to spend our golden years!

Last month CNBC published their 10 best and worst places to retire list, and it’s quite comprehensive. In this case, CNBC takes into account activity rate, housing expenses and cost of goods and services. Here’s how cities in their top 10 list fared:

If you’re left wondering about the other side of the coin, yup – CNBC looked at the worst places to retire too. Surprisingly, many on this list are big metropolitan areas. While these cities offer tremendous cultural and culinary opportunities, they are exorbitantly expensive to live-in.
